Vehicle Storage Guide

Planning to store your car, motorcycle, boat, or RV at Hello Storage? Here are a few general guidelines to help you prepare. Keep in mind that requirements may vary by location, so always review your rental agreement for complete details.

Before You Store:

• All vehicles must be in working order with wheels that roll and tires properly inflated.
• Vehicles must be driven into the unit or space (no towing in or storing on blocks).
• Current registration and proof of insurance are required.
• Boats, RVs, and trailers must have valid license plates and be roadworthy.

While in Storage:

• Tags and registrations should be kept current during storage.
• Limit fuel in the tank (remove as much as possible before storing).
• No repairs or major maintenance may be performed inside the unit.
• Car covers are recommended for outdoor storage and may be required for unsightly vehicles.
• Tire locks and tie-downs are allowed for added security.

Long-Term Storage Tips:
